About

Mission Number 1

Our mission or the purpose of the Malaysian Food Guide is to connect lovers of Malaysian food in Perth with restaurants that make wonderful Malaysian food.

Coming from Malaysia to Perth was a big shock for me and many of my Malaysian friends. Why? I couldn’t find the Malaysian food I love and when I found some Malaysian style food I was always wondering how authentic it was and Perth is so spread out and I don’t like to drive to a new places after work and found out that is not what I have in mind.

So, long story short, I am a website designer, growth up in Malaysia. I’ve been in Perth a long time now and this is the time to give back to the community so I have decided to create this website to help the community to growth. I know where to go, plus I have a network of friends who know what’s good and what’s not. For example, where is the best Asam Laksa, Curry Laksa, Nasi Lemak, Char Keow Teow, Hokkien Noodles in Perth. Just to name a few Malaysian dishes here.

coronavirus covid-19 health alertDue to current COVID-19 (Corona Virus Diseases 2019) pandemic, a lot of activities have been restricted. A lot of the food and beverage industry has been affected, no doubt affected on others areas as well. Some food courts have been forced to closed until further notice, restaurants can only do take way (no dine in option).

Also due current COVID-19, I have just realised that we are actually live in a very comfortable lifestyle in Perth. We drive every way we want, but due to COVID-19 movement restriction,  we got stuck. We can’t remember the restaurant phone number to call for food orders, or can’t recall the restaurant name, or can only remember how to drive there, or can only remember what the restaurant logo looks like etc. So for the convenience of our Malaysian Food Lovers, we have created a list of Malaysian Restaurants for you to use.

Mission Number 2

Due to COVID-19, making us realise that a lot of Malaysian Restaurants do not have their own website, thus providing the Malaysian Restaurants a FREE listing in our website becoming part of our mission. Please contact us to add any relevant images or information to promote your Restaurant for FREE.

Even thought we can’t dine in, in this critical climate, we can still take away. As we used to eat out and now take away, we shall continue post more information about more Malaysian restaurants. So you can keep coming back to find out the latest. Or subscribe to our mailing list and we shall keep you up-to-date (see our Privacy Statement – we promise to keep your information private and confidential).
